De la Espriella&#8217;s victory cannot be explained solely by political alliances or last-minute endorsements, but rather by his campaign&#8217;s ability to connect with the discontent toward the outgoing Government and with a citizen demand for order, security, and authority.<\/p>\n<p>In this context, at <b>LLYC <\/b>we present the report \u201c<b>Presidential Elections Second Round 2026<\/b>\u201d, an analysis that seeks to understand how the victory took shape, which political forces are best positioned, and what the main challenges will be during the transition and the first months of the new Government.<\/p>\n<p>The document analyzes <b>the regional behavior of the vote<\/b>, the first reactions of political, business, and international actors, <b>the potential Government team<\/b>, and the role that Vice President <b>Jos\u00e9 Manuel Restrepo <\/b>could play as a technical figure to send signals of economic stability.<\/p>\n<p>One of the main challenges will lie in <b>governability<\/b>. De la Espriella arrives at the Casa de Nari\u00f1o with a narrow lead over Cepeda; furthermore, he will begin his Government without his own majorities in Congress.
