Ap\u00f3s a pandemia da Covid-19, o mundo mergulhou em uma crise econ\u00f4mica sem precedentes na era da globaliza\u00e7\u00e3o. Os governos de todos os pa\u00edses do mundo tiveram que modificar a din\u00e2mica social, fechar fronteiras e estabelecer quarentenas. O turismo tem sido uma das ind\u00fastrias mais afetadas.<\/span><\/p>\n

O Conselho Mundial de Viagens & Turismo (<\/span>World Travel & Tourism Council – WTTC<\/span><\/i>) estima que o impacto econ\u00f4mico na ind\u00fastria de viagens e turismo ser\u00e1 cinco vezes maior que a crise financeira vivida em todo o mundo em 2008. Estima-se uma perda de 31 % dos empregos com refer\u00eancia a partir de 2019, ou seja, 100 milh\u00f5es e 800 mil pessoas que dependem do setor estar\u00e3o desempregadas. Al\u00e9m da redu\u00e7\u00e3o de 30 % no PIB do setor em todo o mundo, que passaria de 10,3 para 7,2 %.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tais previs\u00f5es constroem o cen\u00e1rio atual da ind\u00fastria que, de acordo com a Organiza\u00e7\u00e3o Mundial do Com\u00e9rcio (OMC) e a Organiza\u00e7\u00e3o Mundial de Turismo (OMT), em 2018, foi a terceira categoria de exporta\u00e7\u00f5es do mundo, depois de produtos qu\u00edmicos e combust\u00edveis e \u00e0 frente dos produtos automotivos e agroalimentares. E que, nos \u00faltimos sete anos, registrou uma receita do turismo internacional superior \u00e0s exporta\u00e7\u00f5es de mercadorias.<\/span><\/p>\n

Assim, sua excelente contribui\u00e7\u00e3o para a economia global coexiste agora com um sentimento de incerteza. No entanto, o turismo \u00e9 uma ind\u00fastria resiliente que acabar\u00e1 se recuperando a partir do trabalho colaborativo, bem como da digitaliza\u00e7\u00e3o e inova\u00e7\u00e3o de processos. O ano de 2020 \u00e9 adicionado ao gloss\u00e1rio de turismo como sin\u00f4nimo de desafio, aprendizado e reinven\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/span><\/p>\n

VAMOS RELEMBRAR O APRENDIZADO<\/strong><\/h2>\n

A ind\u00fastria de viagens e turismo, que em 2019 representou 10,3 % do produto interno bruto (PIB) mundial e gerou 330 milh\u00f5es de empregos, saiu \u00e0 frente de crises regionais decorrentes, por exemplo, dos ataques terroristas \u00e0s Torres G\u00eameas em Nova York, em 9 de setembro de 2001, do surto do v\u00edrus da SARS no sul da \u00c1sia em 2003 e da gripe H1N1 nas Am\u00e9ricas, principalmente no M\u00e9xico, em 2009.<\/span><\/p>\n

O ponto coincidente entre essas ocasi\u00f5es e a atual \u00e9 que o desafio est\u00e1 focado em recuperar a confian\u00e7a do viajante. No entanto, agora o cen\u00e1rio \u00e9 muito mais complexo por dois motivos: essa crise \u00e9 global e n\u00e3o foi poss\u00edvel controlar a dissemina\u00e7\u00e3o do v\u00edrus na aus\u00eancia da vacina. Vimos que pa\u00edses ao redor do mundo fecharam fronteiras e perderam milh\u00f5es de d\u00f3lares em receita de turismo, e enquanto eles exemplificaram a boa gest\u00e3o e usaram o tempo de confinamento para se preparar para uma reabertura cautelosa e bem-sucedida, eles tiveram que voltar atr\u00e1s em algumas de suas localiza\u00e7\u00f5es devido aos surtos da Covid-19.<\/span><\/p>\n

Isso significa que estamos diante de um cen\u00e1rio de tentativa e erro, por isso \u00e9 importante anotar todas as li\u00e7\u00f5es aprendidas ao longo do caminho. No momento, essa crise levou a v\u00e1rios aprendizados, entre os quais destacamos os seguintes:<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. A esperada vacina<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    As viagens n\u00e3o podem e n\u00e3o devem estar sujeitas a uma vacina em massa, mas devem ser conduzidas por n\u00edveis potenciais de risco para os viajantes. A transpar\u00eancia total e a comunica\u00e7\u00e3o correta a esse respeito ser\u00e3o fundamentais para revitalizar o setor com a seguran\u00e7a do turista como prioridade.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Como mencionou Gloria Guevara, presidente do WTTC, a vacina n\u00e3o seria de vital import\u00e2ncia se pud\u00e9ssemos isolar pessoas infectadas com o v\u00edrus no mundo, como ocorreu durante os surtos de Ebola, SARS ou MERS. Portanto, o turismo deve usar as ferramentas necess\u00e1rias para monitorar de perto a implementa\u00e7\u00e3o de protocolos em aeroportos, hot\u00e9is, passeios, entre outros, al\u00e9m de manter uma escuta ativa para cobrir e possivelmente antecipar as necessidades e preocupa\u00e7\u00f5es que possam surgir ao longo do caminho.<\/span><\/p>\n

    1. A lealdade do viajante vai al\u00e9m do tempo gasto no destino<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      A jornada tur\u00edstica come\u00e7a a partir da busca e escolha do destino, elementos aos quais a passagem pelo aeroporto, porto ou rodovia \u00e9 adicionada, e ela continua durante a experi\u00eancia de viagem, ou seja, lugares, atividades, hospedagem, alimenta\u00e7\u00e3o, hist\u00f3rias, entre outros, e termina com as lembran\u00e7as e sentimentos que o viajante guardar\u00e1 ap\u00f3s voltar para casa. Portanto, os prestadores de servi\u00e7os de turismo que trabalham h\u00e1 muito tempo para cobrir todo o processo atrav\u00e9s do fortalecimento de seus canais de comunica\u00e7\u00e3o, viram um crescimento consider\u00e1vel em suas comunidades digitais durante o confinamento. As conversas no mundo digital giram em torno da expectativa de viagens p\u00f3s-quarentena, com maior interesse nos destinos que se envolveram emocionalmente com o p\u00fablico durante esse per\u00edodo de isolamento.<\/span><\/p>\n

      1. As mudan\u00e7as nos \u201cgatilhos\u201d emocionais do viajante que devemos conhecer<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        A partir desta crise de sa\u00fade, \u00e9 certo que haver\u00e1 mudan\u00e7as nos gatilhos emocionais que levam as pessoas a viajar. Uma hip\u00f3tese \u00e9 que as pessoas viajem apenas para lugares que lhes permitam sentir prote\u00e7\u00e3o, seguran\u00e7a e conforto. No entanto, \u00e9 essencial usar a tecnologia para conhecer os crit\u00e9rios dos turistas para escolher um destino ou outro, que tipo de acomoda\u00e7\u00e3o ou qual companhia a\u00e9rea eles preferem com base nas novas expectativas que possam ter.<\/span><\/p>\n

        1. Digitaliza\u00e7\u00e3o e sustentabilidade s\u00e3o o presente<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          Chaves e registros digitais, al\u00e9m de assist\u00eancia inteligente e personalizada, s\u00e3o ferramentas que j\u00e1 foram consideradas no futuro desenvolvimento da ind\u00fastria. No entanto, a crise da pandemia acelerou sua implementa\u00e7\u00e3o para adaptar a experi\u00eancia de viagem \u00e0s novas din\u00e2micas sociais. Hoje, tornou-se essencial recorrer \u00e0 inova\u00e7\u00e3o tecnol\u00f3gica e \u00e0 intelig\u00eancia artificial.<\/span><\/p>\n

          Por outro lado, a tend\u00eancia do bem-estar individual e geral chegou para ficar. Os consumidores est\u00e3o concentrando seus h\u00e1bitos de consumo em sua pr\u00f3pria sa\u00fade e nos ecossistemas que comp\u00f5em a natureza; bem-estar e sustentabilidade s\u00e3o conceitos que devem ser colocados no centro da oferta tur\u00edstica.<\/span><\/p>\n

          Nesse sentido, destinos, empresas e prestadores de servi\u00e7os de turismo precisam se adaptar para permanecer competitivos, oferecendo turismo sustent\u00e1vel que contribui para alcan\u00e7ar os Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustent\u00e1vel e construir um futuro melhor para todos. Como observou o Secret\u00e1rio-Geral da OMT, Zurab Pololikashvili, “a ind\u00fastria precisa crescer em valor e n\u00e3o apenas em volume”.<\/span><\/p>\n

          1. A import\u00e2ncia do trabalho colaborativo e da uni\u00e3o multissetorial<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            O setor viu a lideran\u00e7a de v\u00e1rios atores durante esta crise e, embora sempre exista uma institui\u00e7\u00e3o que lidere o lan\u00e7amento de propostas, diretrizes ou protocolos, essas iniciativas s\u00f3 se posicionaram atrav\u00e9s de um enorme esfor\u00e7o colaborativo no qual as institui\u00e7\u00f5es estiveram envolvidas com governos supranacionais, nacionais, estaduais e locais, bem como a iniciativa privada. A Organiza\u00e7\u00e3o Mundial de Turismo, a Comiss\u00e3o Europeia, o WTTC, o Conselho da Organiza\u00e7\u00e3o Internacional de Avia\u00e7\u00e3o Civil (ICAO) ou as mexicanas como Conselho Empresarial de Turismo (CNET) e a Confer\u00eancia Nacional de Governadores (CONAGO), para citar alguns, lideraram diferentes esfor\u00e7os para enfrentar esta crise; com o tempo, observaremos os frutos de suas a\u00e7\u00f5es que, no momento, s\u00e3o esperan\u00e7osas.<\/span>
            <\/span><\/p>\n

Os viajantes desejam ter certeza de que o quarto onde dormem, a espregui\u00e7adeira onde tomar\u00e3o banho de sol, a mesa onde comer\u00e3o e o colete salva-vidas que usar\u00e3o est\u00e3o limpos e livres de cont\u00e1gio.<\/span><\/p>\n

            2. Medidas preventivas e atendimento m\u00e9dico nos destinos<\/b><\/p>\n

            Ser\u00e1 importante monitorar a sa\u00fade das pessoas que chegam em seu destino. Fala-se em passaporte sanit\u00e1rio, medi\u00e7\u00f5es t\u00e9rmicas e protocolos de sa\u00fade em terminais, portos e portarias, mas ainda n\u00e3o h\u00e1 consenso global sobre isso.             a. Promo\u00e7\u00e3o tur\u00edstica<\/b><\/p>\n

            A promo\u00e7\u00e3o do turismo desempenhar\u00e1 um papel fundamental na revitaliza\u00e7\u00e3o do setor, porque, por meio dessa ferramenta, os destinos poder\u00e3o se reconectar com os viajantes. A execu\u00e7\u00e3o correta de uma campanha de divulga\u00e7\u00e3o do turismo n\u00e3o apenas contribui para a reputa\u00e7\u00e3o e confian\u00e7a no destino, mas tamb\u00e9m gera demanda. Por exemplo: no caso de Los Cabos, o destino de luxo mexicano, mais de 11 milh\u00f5es de d\u00f3lares s\u00e3o gerados em faturamento em todo o mundo, gra\u00e7as \u00e0 promo\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/span><\/p>\n

            b.Infraestrutura dos servi\u00e7os locais<\/b><\/p>\n

            Como parte do processo de reabertura, a ind\u00fastria do turismo investiu grandes quantias na adapta\u00e7\u00e3o dos espa\u00e7os, priorizando a sa\u00fade e a seguran\u00e7a dos visitantes. Esse investimento sempre fez parte da equa\u00e7\u00e3o para fornecer servi\u00e7os de qualidade aos visitantes, mas hoje \u00e9 um dos principais objetivos do setor diante de sua reativa\u00e7\u00e3o, pois, al\u00e9m de proporcionar confian\u00e7a, ajudar\u00e1 a controlar a propaga\u00e7\u00e3o do v\u00edrus.<\/span><\/p>\n

            c. Educa\u00e7\u00e3o e servi\u00e7os b\u00e1sicos para a popula\u00e7\u00e3o que faz parte da oferta tur\u00edstica de um destino<\/b><\/p>\n

            Existem cidades, estados ou pa\u00edses que dependem principalmente da atividade tur\u00edstica. A renda gerada como resultado desse setor impulsiona o desenvolvimento e o crescimento de diferentes indicadores populacionais, como renda per capita, moradia, n\u00edvel de educa\u00e7\u00e3o etc. Infelizmente, essa crise nos permitir\u00e1 aprofundar nossa an\u00e1lise da influ\u00eancia direta e indireta que a ind\u00fastria exerce sobre a vida da popula\u00e7\u00e3o que faz parte da oferta tur\u00edstica de um destino.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

            \u00c9 hora de trabalhar em equipe, ser criativo e fortalecer a comunica\u00e7\u00e3o com o p\u00fablico relevante do setor. Hoje precisamos reaprender, pois a maneira como o turismo era gerenciado h\u00e1 apenas alguns meses expirou. Se o trabalho colaborativo for alcan\u00e7ado, com certeza, o turismo ser\u00e1 uma das atividades econ\u00f4micas que ajudar\u00e3o os pa\u00edses ao redor do mundo a sair da crise financeira na qual a pandemia da Covid-19 os submergiu.<\/span><\/p>\n
