O setor do agribusiness no mundo vive um momento de transforma\u00e7\u00e3o, e n\u00e3o s\u00f3 no campo dos neg\u00f3cios. As mudan\u00e7as v\u00e3o desde a acelerada revolu\u00e7\u00e3o tecnol\u00f3gica, as novas inter-rela\u00e7\u00f5es do com\u00e9rcio global, as crescentes demandas de sustentabilidade at\u00e9 a constru\u00e7\u00e3o da imagem do setor e de seus produtos diante de uma gama cada vez mais exigente e ampla de stakeholders.<\/span><\/p>\n

Grandes produtores e exportadores agropecu\u00e1rios, como Brasil, Argentina, M\u00e9xico e Uni\u00e3o Europeia, est\u00e3o no centro dessa revolu\u00e7\u00e3o, com diferentes desafios, mas com a mesma necessidade de modernizar sua vis\u00e3o e sua atua\u00e7\u00e3o para acompanhar as novas cobran\u00e7as da sociedade.<\/span><\/p>\n

O Brasil \u00e9 um exemplo n\u00edtido dessa transforma\u00e7\u00e3o. O pa\u00eds deixou para tr\u00e1s a condi\u00e7\u00e3o de importador de alimentos, nos anos 1970, para se tornar o maior exportador mundial l\u00edquido de produtos de origem agropecu\u00e1ria. S\u00e3o movimentados mais de US$ 100 bilh\u00f5es anuais exportados, situando o Brasil a um passo de superar os Estados Unidos e a Uni\u00e3o Europeia como maiores exportadores de produtos agropecu\u00e1rios no mundo.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A lista de produtos vendidos ao mundo \u00e9 cada vez mais diversificada. E os mercados compradores tamb\u00e9m: desde os tradicionais importadores (como China, Estados Unidos, Uni\u00e3o Europeia, Oriente M\u00e9dio, R\u00fassia e Jap\u00e3o) at\u00e9 novos grandes consumidores, como as populosas \u00cdndia e Indon\u00e9sia.<\/span><\/p>\n

A expans\u00e3o do agro brasileiro \u00e9 o exemplo de como o futuro do setor passa necessariamente por duas premissas: o investimento em tecnologia e o refor\u00e7o do movimento de preserva\u00e7\u00e3o ambiental e produtividade sustent\u00e1vel.<\/span><\/p>\n

No campo tecnol\u00f3gico, o empreendedorismo digital \u00e9 a onda mais recente do agroneg\u00f3cio, com uma explos\u00e3o de <\/span>startups <\/span><\/i>criadas em um curto per\u00edodo de tempo. As chamadas \u201cagtechs\u201d ou \u201cagritecs\u201d s\u00e3o voltadas principalmente para a gest\u00e3o agropecu\u00e1ria, liderando um movimento claro de crescimento do \u201cAgro 4.0\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hubs de \u201cagtechs\u201d brasileiras se multiplicam e j\u00e1 re\u00fanem centenas de startups em polos distribu\u00eddos pelo pa\u00eds inteiro. Com essas inova\u00e7\u00f5es digitais, \u00e9 poss\u00edvel monitorar o clima, gerenciar a aplica\u00e7\u00e3o de insumos, desenvolvimento de lavouras e comportamento dos animais, entre muitas outras aplica\u00e7\u00f5es.<\/span><\/p>\n

O agroneg\u00f3cio, brasileiro e mundial, tamb\u00e9m avan\u00e7a em uma nova frente de empreendedorismo, o da bioeconomia. Atividade que \u00e9 simultaneamente lucrativa, sustent\u00e1vel e tem um prop\u00f3sito claro: continuar alimentando n\u00e3o s\u00f3 os 7 bilh\u00f5es de habitantes atuais deste planeta, mas igualmente mais outros 2 bilh\u00f5es que ainda est\u00e3o por vir, ainda na primeira metade do s\u00e9culo atual.<\/span><\/p>\n

Por outro lado, a trajet\u00f3ria de crescimento do agroneg\u00f3cio em pa\u00edses como o Brasil enfrenta desafios de reputa\u00e7\u00e3o e den\u00fancias de agress\u00e3o ao meio ambiente, fazendo brotar uma narrativa negativa de que o avan\u00e7o da produ\u00e7\u00e3o est\u00e1 intimamente associado ao desmatamento de biomas, como o da Amaz\u00f4nia. O setor tem sustentado em sua defesa que o Brasil n\u00e3o precisa derrubar uma \u00fanica \u00e1rvore para expandir sua produ\u00e7\u00e3o. <\/span>Poucos pa\u00edses do mundo t\u00eam a possibilidade de reincorporar ao seu sistema produtivo os cerca de 70 milh\u00f5es de hectares de pastagens degradadas ao longo do passado<\/span> por uma pecu\u00e1ria extensiva, e hoje decadente, e transform\u00e1-los em um sistema novo de integra\u00e7\u00e3o lavoura-pecu\u00e1ria-floresta, fundamento de uma nova agricultura de baixa emiss\u00e3o de carbono, j\u00e1 em pleno andamento.<\/span><\/p>\n

E, como afirma Roberto Rodrigues, ex-ministro da Agricultura: para se fortalecer, o agroneg\u00f3cio tem de ser sustent\u00e1vel, mas, sobretudo, mostrar-se sustent\u00e1vel para os demais parceiros no mundo. Nesse sentido, surgem in\u00fameros exemplos que demonstram como a atua\u00e7\u00e3o social vem ganhando for\u00e7a no setor privado. Um caso \u00e9 do Grupo Scheffer, um dos maiores produtores de gr\u00e3os do Brasil, com atua\u00e7\u00e3o tamb\u00e9m em pecu\u00e1ria, que acaba de fechar um \u201cgreen deal\u201d, financiamento atrelado a metas de sustentabilidade, com um banco internacional. A opera\u00e7\u00e3o est\u00e1 vinculada ao sucesso do grupo, para que possa dobrar, at\u00e9 2023, a \u00e1rea de produ\u00e7\u00e3o em que s\u00e3o utilizadas tecnologias de agricultura regenerativa.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cTemos como meta reduzir cada vez mais o uso de produtos qu\u00edmicos, ampliando o emprego de produtos biol\u00f3gicos contra pragas e doen\u00e7as das lavouras. Na safra 2019\/20, a aplica\u00e7\u00e3o de qu\u00edmicos nas nossas lavouras de soja diminuiu 53% e, nas \u00e1reas de algod\u00e3o, a queda foi de 34%, sem altera\u00e7\u00e3o nos \u00edndices de produtividade\u201d, afirma Guilherme Scheffer, diretor do grupo.<\/span><\/p>\n
