O r\u00e1pido progresso no processo de vacina\u00e7\u00e3o COVID-19 est\u00e1 causando uma forte recupera\u00e7\u00e3o nas expectativas tanto dos investidores (por exemplo, o <\/span>\u00edndice IBEX 35<\/span><\/a> recuperou 13% nos \u00faltimos 6 meses) como dos consumidores, bem como um clima de confian\u00e7a em torno de uma r\u00e1pida recupera\u00e7\u00e3o econ\u00f4mica.<\/span><\/p>\n

O <\/span>\u00cdndice de Confian\u00e7a do Consumidor<\/span><\/a> n<\/span>o m\u00eas de maio cresceu 11,2 pontos em rela\u00e7\u00e3o ao m\u00eas anterior e j\u00e1 est\u00e1 acima dos resultados obtidos desde julho de 2019. A avalia\u00e7\u00e3o da situa\u00e7\u00e3o atual tamb\u00e9m melhora, atingindo 62,4 pontos, 14 pontos a mais que em abril.<\/span><\/p>\n

O aumento geral da confian\u00e7a em todos os setores \u00e9 uma boa not\u00edcia para a economia. Mas <\/span>esse <\/span>boom<\/span><\/i> de expectativas, ap\u00f3s 18 meses de depress\u00e3o devido \u00e0 pandemia, tem um efeito perverso no aumento proporcional dos riscos de reputa\u00e7\u00e3o das empresas.<\/span> A l\u00f3gica \u00e9 simples: um forte aumento da confian\u00e7a, como o que vivemos atualmente, \u00e9 seguido por um forte aumento dos riscos de reputa\u00e7\u00e3o se as expectativas geradas na opini\u00e3o p\u00fablica n\u00e3o forem atendidas. Quanto mais altas as expectativas, maior a probabilidade de decepcionar essas expectativas com o decorrer dos pr\u00f3ximos meses.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sem d\u00favida, o mercado precisa de “tudo para dar certo”, e h\u00e1 um exerc\u00edcio coletivo de “querer acreditar” que a recupera\u00e7\u00e3o econ\u00f4mica ser\u00e1 r\u00e1pida. A comunica\u00e7\u00e3o e as mensagens \u00e0 opini\u00e3o p\u00fablica est\u00e3o sendo muito consistentes em todas as \u00e1reas. Mas as expectativas podem ser excessivas. Como disse recentemente a presidente do Banco Santander, Ana Bot\u00edn, \u201cvamos sair do mapa\u201d em 2021 com uma expectativa de crescimento entre 8% e 9%. A quest\u00e3o ser\u00e1 saber “o que acontece no pr\u00f3ximo ano”, avisa Bot\u00edn.<\/span><\/p>\n
