A Organiza\u00e7\u00e3o Mundial da Sa\u00fade define a sa\u00fade mental como um estado de bem-estar em que cada pessoa pode desenvolver o seu potencial, lidar com as tens\u00f5es da vida, trabalhar de forma produtiva e contribuir com algo para a sua comunidade, situa\u00e7\u00e3o emocional que agora parece estar em jogo para muitas pessoas em todo o mundo.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A pandemia intensificou a deteriora\u00e7\u00e3o da sa\u00fade mental na popula\u00e7\u00e3o, pois juntou-se a outros determinantes e\/ou fatores psicol\u00f3gicos, biol\u00f3gicos, sociais, econ\u00f3micos, geopol\u00edticos e ambientais como a pobreza, a viol\u00eancia, a desigualdade e a degrada\u00e7\u00e3o ambiental que aumentam o risco de sofrer problemas mentais.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As autoridades de sa\u00fade, algumas institui\u00e7\u00f5es hospitalares especializadas e os m\u00e9dicos declararam uma crise de sa\u00fade devido ao aumento das perturba\u00e7\u00f5es mentais e \u00e0 falta de prepara\u00e7\u00e3o dos sistemas de sa\u00fade. Ao mesmo tempo, <\/span><b>as empresas farmac\u00eauticas de inova\u00e7\u00e3o<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> em \u00e1reas do Sistema Nervoso Central, deram prioridade \u00e0 <\/span><b>inova\u00e7\u00e3o farmacol\u00f3gica<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> para que a comunidade m\u00e9dica possa ajudar melhor os seus pacientes com <\/span><b>novos tratamentos<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> especialmente focados em tratar a <\/span><b>depress\u00e3o, a esquizofrenia e a ansiedade.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">O n\u00famero de casos aumenta consideravelmente, mas <\/span><b>ainda \u00e9 poss\u00edvel reverter esta situa\u00e7\u00e3o,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> se for tratada como um <\/span><b>problema priorit\u00e1rio de sa\u00fade p\u00fablica<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> e se o impacto da pandemia no aumento das perturba\u00e7\u00f5es for revisto.
