Rafael leads LLYC’s Global Healthcare practice, driving the firm’s strategic commitment to innovation and communication in the health sector. He coordinates an international team of experts across the United States, Europe, and Latin America, developing integrated solutions that span Corporate Affairs and Marketing Solutions, from reputation management and corporate issues to marketing, digital activation, and stakeholder experience. His work focuses on aligning strategy, reputation, and communication with business outcomes, fostering innovation, digital transformation, and global access to healthcare.

Experience.

He brings more than 15 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, having led commercial and business development strategies in international markets. During his time at Gilead Sciences, he held leadership roles across Latin America and the Caribbean. Subsequently, he assumed global responsibilities advising leadership teams and General Managers in LATAM, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East on market expansion, strategic alliances, and key negotiations. He began his career at Salvat Pharma, contributing to the company’s expansion in Latin America through product launches and strategic partnerships. His trajectory spans business development, commercial leadership, alliance management, and product launches, always centered on innovation, sustainable growth, and the creation of value in health.

A sports enthusiast, particularly soccer, running, and mountain biking, Rafael also enjoys reading and outdoor activities.
