Challenge.
With over 60 years in Brazil, the logistics company Scania Latin America wanted to develop an initiative that could bring it closer to the future of the car industry: sustainable mobility.
Impact.
In addition to the engagement among university audiences, the Inovathon Scania was a source of pride for the collaborators, with at least four departments directly involved in the project.
Solution.
Inovathon Scania was created in 2016, a joint initiative between Scania and LLYC, based on the pillars of sustainability, logistics, people and innovation. The project consists of a knowledge hackathon for university students, who go through a selection process including a test and an interview and, spend 72 hours in groups in a knowledge development process, with expert classes, visits to project partners, and integration activities. The aim is to build the foundations to then resolve a case that is then set in the last 24 hours of the competition. In 2019 the fourth edition of Inovathon Scania took place, with the participation of seven strategic partners, linking the Scania Latin America brand to other leaders in this area such as IBM, Cabify, Ericsson, ABB, ViaQuatro, KTH and the Brazilian tech unicorn Loggi.
