LLYC launches Executive – its management training unit

Jan 17 2022

Half of all employees will need to be retrained by 2030, which will mean some six months of study on average, according to the World Economic Forum. Another international survey claims that 80% of company steering committees must improve their skills. This need leads LLYC to launch Executive – its management training unit. Headed up by Professor Iñaki Ortega, it seeks to help companies adapt to the demands of the new digital economy. Technological disruption is leading to far-reaching changes in the economy and the pandemic has simply accelerated the pressing need for the reskilling and upskilling of professionals.

The Executive Department of LLYC is made up of a team of experts and teachers with a number of years of experience at business schools and in the professional accompaniment of executives. The programs to be taught include essential disciplines for tackling the changes in today’s world: innovation and entrepreneurship, new management and agile methodologies, sustainability and leadership, digital and crisis communication, influence and reputation, along with big data and business intelligence.

Program for 2022

The solutions for executives may be taught in an open format (13 courses have already been scheduled for 2022) or tailored for each company. This year, Executive will also promote at least 12 open professional meetings for executives in cutting-edge disciplines and will generate knowledge with a similar number of reports and papers on these issues.

Tailored activities with companies have already begun and the first open courses will begin in February with the following five programs: ESG, Executive Program in the Management of Environmental, Social and Relational Capital in Companies; MOT, Executive Program in Management Skills in Communication at Moments of Truth; DATA DRIVEN, Executive Program in the Management of Data-Driven Marketing and Communication; AGILE, Executive Program in the Agile Management of Planning and Marketing; PUBLIC AFFAIRS, Executive Program in Institutional Relations and Contextual Intelligence.

The technologist Eduvigis Ortiz, the journalist Gloria Lomana and the executive Irma Jiménez (Hewlett Packard Enterprise) are some of the professionals involved in the programs. The teachers Cristina Monge (University of Zaragoza), Paloma Baena (IE Business School), Gustavo Entrala (ESADE) and José Manuel Velasco (IESE Business School) will also collaborate. The list is completed by active executives at benchmark companies and former renowned ministers like Pilar del Castillo, Jordi Sevilla and José María Michavila.

“The purpose of Executive is to be an ally of company professionals in the challenge to adapt to the demands of the time through reskilling and upskilling processes. We need more specialized executives and more versatile employees. At LLYC, we want to help companies in this enormous task”, stresses Iñaki Ortega.
