Luís Garcez joins LLYC at its new Senior Director of Corporate Communication. With more than 30 years of experience in Marketing and Communication, he will head up the firm’s Corporate Communication Department, reporting to Tiago Vidal, Partner and General Manager in Portugal.
Luís Garcez has 17 years of experience as Marketing and Communication Director at Somague/Sacyr – having led the Department of International Communication at Sacyr in Madrid – and 14 years in advertising agencies, being a partner at EuroRSCG (HAVAS) after periods at Lintas and JWThompson. In 2019, he returned to the WPP group, first in Hill & Knowlton and then BCW (Burson Cohn & Wolfe) where he was Managing Director for Institutional Clients. He was visiting professor at the Faculty of Economics in the Universidade Nova in Lisbon.
Luis will assume the leadership of the Corporate Communications Department, which includes clients from sectors including banking and insurance, transportation, real-estate and energy, among them Abanca, Naitixis, Liberty Seguros, MEDWAY, MSC, Sonae Sierra and Repsol.
