José Gregorio Cabrera joins LLYC Santo Domingo as new Senior Director for Corporate Communication and Public Affairs

José Gregorio Cabrera joins LLYC as the new Senior Director for Corporate Communication and Public Affairs. Following this appointment, LLYC Santo Domingo boosts its value offer in the market in which, since last year, new talent has been incorporated in the field of digital marketing, data intelligence and creativity.

José Gregorio Cabrera has more than 20 years of multisector experience in the field of advice on strategic communication and public affairs. His time at the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology (MESCYT) and his role as an advisor to the former President, Leonel Fernández, between 2007 and 2011, particularly stand out, where he boosted compliance with the Sustainable Development Goals established by the United Nations. He was also Executive Director and part of the founding group of the United Nations Global Compact in the Dominican Republic. In the private sector, his role as Corporate Affairs Manager for Philip Morris for seven years stands out, where he worked throughout the Caribbean in managing regulatory, tax and governmental matters.

His incorporation at LLYC Santo Domingo strengthens the great talent of the team headed up by Iban Campo as Managing Director of the operation, which includes Cecilia Correa as Corporate Communication, Reputation and Crisis Director and Scarlet Ortiz as Deep Digital Business Manager, along with Jorge Esteva as Senior Advisor for Business Development.

Cabrera holds two Master’s degrees in Public and Administrative Law from the same university and in Political and Strategic Communication from George Washington University, along with a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra.
