FOUNDING PARTNER AND EXECUTIVE CHAIR
José Antonio Llorente is our Founder and Executive Chairman. He has been a Director of LLYC SA since 2003. He is responsible for Corporate Governance; Management of the Board of Directors; M&A activities; the legal area, as well as institutional and investor relations.
He is a member of the Arthur W. Page Society, the leading global association of senior professionals in the communications sector. He is the first professional of Spanish origin to receive the SABRE de Honor -SABRE Award for Outstanding Individual Achievement-, an award granted by PRovoke. He was also named Distinguished Alumni by the Complutense University of Madrid.
Experience.
Throughout his more than 30 years of experience, he has advised on numerous corporate transactions: mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and IPOs.
Since he founded the firm in 1995, José Antonio Llorente has promoted it from the highest level of responsibility in the company. Previously, he worked at Burson Marsteller, where he became CEO for Spain and Portugal. He also worked for five years for the Communications Department of the Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations (CEOE) and was a journalist for the EFE News Agency.
Interests.
He has many hobbies but the most outstanding is his passion for contemporary art. In addition to being a collector, he is a member of the Patronage Council of the Reina Sofia Museum, a Trustee of the El Museo del Barrio in New York and a member of the Advisory Board of the ARCO Foundation.
