As Executive Chair of the Catalan market, María’s mission is to bolster the firm’s leadership in a region that has grown significantly in scale and importance. Her role focuses on ensuring business continuity and guiding the office’s strategic growth.
Experience.
María served as Managing Director of the Barcelona office from April 2010 until early 2026. During this period, she spearheaded a major expansion, positioning Barcelona as one of the three most prominent offices within LLYC’s international network across the United States, Latin America, and Europe. A Law graduate from the University of Barcelona, she practiced law for four years at the start of her career. Before joining LLYC, she was the Corporate Director of Marketing and Communications at USP Hospitales and Director of the agency Gené & Asociados.
Interests.
María finds refuge and inspiration in books and enjoys exploring a wide range of literary genres. Classical music also provides her with a sense of connection. She is passionate about walking through the woods and swimming in the sea — two ways she reconnects with a sense of calm.
