TrendsAppointments and New Hires
One of the founding partners of Apache part of LLYC, which LLYC acquired in May 2021, has been appointed as head of Digital Marketing for the entire Americas region. David Martín Muñoz will oversee the area based on Paid Media solutions, SEO, Marketing Automation, Martech and Ad Tech, etc.
David’s main duties will include: proposing innovations in the service catalog, integrating the marketing value offer with other areas to develop differential solutions, partner relationships and market penetration. He will be based in Argentina and will lead a team deployed in operations across the United States, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Panama, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Brazil, Chile and Argentina.
David Martín Muñoz is an engineer with over 15 years of experience in Spain, UK and Ireland in the world of Advertising and Technology. During his 3+ years with Google and in his role as partner at Apache part of LLYC, he engaged high-profile advertisers, helping them seize business opportunities arising in the digital market, integrating himself as a strategic partner in every client’s team to ensure their success, and leading the support and implementation team in different sectors (FMCG, telco, Media & Entertainment, real estate, etc.).
Since Apache Digital’s integration with LLYC, David served as Deep Digital Director in the Andean Region (Peru, Ecuador and Colombia), a role that has now been handed over to José Prinz, a new senior talent incorporated to the company, based in Lima.
“This challenge as head of Digital Marketing in a new region resembles my challenges in the early days of Apache, only now we’re driving a vehicle with an extra two or three gears. It’s thrilling and challenging in terms of business and the team, but that’s what makes it immensely inspiring. In 2023, I expect that we will set up a base, a solid structure that will enable us to establish ourselves in the Americas and, from there, we will grow very quickly,” adds David Martin Muñoz.
Meanwhile, Adolfo Corujo, Partner at LLYC and CEO of the Deep Digital Unit highlights: “With David’s appointment we are building a super team across the Americas, increasingly deploying our value proposition in new markets. Similarly, in the Andean region, by incorporating José, we are seeking to bolster the Deep Digital in a region of great importance to our company. Given the challenges we had as a team for this 2023, I can say that we have successfully assembled the dream team we wanted to play this game”
David will lead the Deep Digital, an LLYC unit dedicated to helping companies in their digitalization journey, focusing on exponential technologies to transform their business model and/or find solutions to their problems more swiftly and disruptively.
The Deep Digital Unit comprises the Deep Learning and Digital Influence areas at LLYC and the companies acquired in 2021, i.e., BESO (Creativity & Data) and APACHE (Digital Marketing). Its staff is a team of over 400 professionals: engineers, programmers, creatives, designers, influencers and digital marketing specialists, working across LLYC’s 12 operations in the Americas and Europe.
The Americas region represents a third of LLYC’s annual revenue (32%), and is an essential cog in the overall business, complemented by the Deep Digital Unit (32% of annual revenue) and the Europe region (36% of annual revenue)
