Santiago Yepez joins LLYC (BME:LLYC) as Senior Advisor for the Mining and Extractive Industries practice. In this position, he will bring his extensive experience in exploration, evaluation and mining properties acquisition, as well as the development of extractive projects. Regarding this, he will expand the strategic solutions that the consulting firm offers today at a global level, for an industry that is in constant transformation.
Santiago has more than 14 years of experience in integrated mining, and maintains excellent relations with government officials. He has served twice as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Mining Chamber of Ecuador and is founder and CEO of GOMINE. He has also been part of the board of directors of the Latin American Mining Association in Chile; the Council of Chambers and Associations of Production in Ecuador and the Ecuadorian Business Committee. He is currently Vice President of Operations of Lucky Minerals.
Additionally, he holds a Master’s degree in Financial Sciences and a postgraduate degree in administration and management of mining projects from the Universidad Central de Chile. He also holds two degrees: one in Sustainability from MIT, and another in Mining Conflicts and Social License from the Latin American Institute of Social Sciences in Peru.
