One of the main features that characterize Latin America is its enormous diversity, both cultural, political, economic and social.
However, in the middle of all this diversity, we find a common element, which has allowed the different Latin American countries to closer ties between them: the language. Likewise, this vertebral element is also at the root of the shared history and culture with Spain and, by extension, the closeness between the Spanish and Portuguese also convey the special bonds with Brazil and Portugal.
Convinced of the importance of the Ibero-American space as a forum for the dialogue, the cooperation and exchange to face such new challenges of a changing world, the XXIV Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government, held in the Mexican city of Veracruz, revolved about education, culture and innovation, considered key factors to eradicating poverty as well as for a more dynamic achieving sustainable development that benefits all human factors.
From this perspective, this issue of UNO includes the reaffirmation and the commitment to the principles and values on which our Ibero-American community is founded.
You’re welcome to read UNO in English, Spanish and Portuguese of Brazil.
