Thanks to its international presence and strategic expansion in key markets, LLYC has secured the 7th position in the U.S. ranking by transaction volume. Furthermore, Mergermarket’s league tables highlight the firm’s leadership in its key regions: in Spain, LLYC leads the ranking by transaction value, with 47 transactions totaling $23.464 billion; in Europe, it is in the TOP 10 by transaction value, with 73 transactions totaling $52.934 billion; and in the Americas, it ranks 7th by volume, having advised on 102 transactions totaling $8.567 billion.
LLYC stands out for its ability to lead advisory services in complex transactions, offering solutions that help clients navigate increasingly demanding regulatory processes, align the needs of different stakeholders, and manage local sensitivities in the regions involved in each transaction.
This value proposition is reflected in the official league tables published by Mergermarket, which verify data on transactions announced throughout 2024.
International leadership of FGS Global, LLYC’s partner
It is also important to highlight the leadership of FGS Global, an international communications consultancy partnered with LLYC, with which it develops cross-border M&A projects. According to official Mergermarket data, FGS Global closed 2024 as the world’s #1 firm in both transaction volume and value, with 459 transactions totaling $701.329 billion.
LLYC’s strong positions in The Deal ranking
The latest rankings from The Deal have recently been published, in which LLYC has also achieved strong global positions. The firm ranks 6th in the global Private Equity classification.
“This has been an exceptional year for our firm, with the return of major M&A transactions that have revitalized the market. With this reactivation, new challenges have also emerged for companies. Mergers and acquisitions have always been subject to varying degrees of regulatory scrutiny, but in recent years, we have seen a significant increase in this pressure, especially in European markets, though not exclusively. Foreign investment oversight, particularly in strategic sectors such as technology, defense, and healthcare, has intensified and become the norm. This underscores the importance of expert advisory services to navigate these challenges, and we take pride in continuing to lead in this field,” explained Luis Guerricagoitia.
